In terms of reputation, Einstein Bros. Bagels is pretty much the gold standard when it comes to bagels. The chain has been around since 1995, and in that time, they’ve managed to build up a pretty impressive fan base.
Costco is no slouch when it comes to food either, so it’s only natural that people would wonder if the two brands’ bagels stack up against each other.
In terms of taste, there’s really no comparison between the two brands. Einstein Bros. bagels are consistently delicious, while Costco’s are.. well, they’re not bad, but they’re not great either.
The main problem is that Costco’s bagels are just a little too sweet for most people’s taste. This is probably because they use malt syrup in their recipe, which gives the bagels a slightly candy-like flavor.
