Can I get a Tdap shot at CVS?

While it is not always possible to get a vaccine at CVS, there are a few exceptions. Many pharmacies offer the vaccine, but it is best to call ahead to be sure.

In general, the vaccine can be found at most pharmacies.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that adults aged 19-49 receive a Tdap vaccine every 10 years. The vaccine is made up of three live, weakened viruses and is best given as a series of three injections over a two-week period.

There is no evidence that getting a Tdap shot at CVS is any more risky than getting the vaccine from a doctor. In fact, because vaccines are produced in such high volumes, it is more likely that you will find the vaccine at CVS.
