Does Best Buy Mobile still exist?

Best Buy Mobile was a chain of mobile phone stores in the United States, operated as a subsidiary of Best Buy. The company sold cellular phones from carriers including AT&T Mobility, Sprint Corporation, T-Mobile US, and Verizon Wireless.

Best Buy Mobile was founded in 2006 and had approximately 200 stores by 2012. The first store opened in Richfield, Minnesota, and the company expanded rapidly thereafter. In 2009, Best Buy acquired 50 former Carphone Warehouse stores in the United States.

Best Buy Mobile began to close stores in 2013, and by 2017, all Best Buy Mobile stores had been closed. The company cited declining sales and competition from online retailers as reasons for the closures.

While Best Buy Mobile no longer exists as a standalone entity, customers can still purchase mobile phones and accessories from Best Buy stores. In addition, Best Buy offers a mobile app which allows customers to shop for phones and accessories from their mobile devices.
