Does Best Buy still sell DVDs?

It’s been more than a decade since DVDs were first released, and in that time they’ve become the standard format for movies and TV shows. But with the rise of streaming services like Netflix, it’s becoming increasingly common for people to watch movies and TV shows online instead of buying DVDs. As a result, many retailers are no longer selling DVDs, and Best Buy is one of them.

Best Buy stopped selling DVDs in 2016, and while they still sell Blu-rays, it’s likely only a matter of time before they stop selling those as well. With physical media becoming less and less popular, it’s clear that the days of DVDs are numbered.

While it’s sad to see DVDs go, it’s not surprising given the current state of the entertainment industry. Streaming services are simply more convenient for most people, and as such, they’re slowly but surely taking over.
