As a rule, Petco does not sell starfish. This is because starfish are not easy to care for and they don’t do well in captivity. In addition, starfish are often collected from the wild, which can adversely impact wild populations.
That said, there are some exceptions. For instance, Petco has been known to sell orange starfish during the Halloween season.
And on rare occasions, you may be able to find a starfish for sale at your local Petco store. If you’re interested in buying a starfish, be sure to ask a store associate first to see if they have any in stock.
