The answer is both yes and no. Safeway does have contactless payment, but it is not available at all locations. In order to use contactless payment, you must have an NFC-enabled device.
If you do not have an NFC-enabled device, you can still use Safeway’s contactless payment by downloading the Safeway app. The app is available for both Android and iOS devices. Once you have the app, you can add your credit or debit card to the app and use it to pay at any Safeway location that accepts contactless payment.
