Is Target Starbucks a real Starbucks?

Target Starbucks is a real Starbucks. The coffee giant has partnered with the retail chain to open up shop inside select Target stores. The move is part of Starbucks’ ongoing effort to make its brand more accessible to consumers.

Target Starbucks locations offer a limited menu of food and drink items, including some of the chain’s signature beverages. The stores also feature a grab-and-go section with pre-packaged pastries and sandwiches.

The partnership between Starbucks and Target is similar to the one the coffee chain has with grocery store chain Safeway. Both partnerships allow Starbucks to reach a wider audience of potential customers.

Starbucks has been working to make its brand more accessible to consumers in recent years. In addition to partnering with Target and Safeway, the coffee chain has also opened up stand-alone cafes in urban areas and launched a mobile app that allows customers to order and pay for their drinks ahead of time.

The coffee giant’s efforts appear to be paying off. In fiscal 2016, Starbucks reported global revenue of $24.7 billion, up from $20.5 billion the year before.
