What happened to Rock and Republic at Kohl’s?

In 2009, Kohl’s announced that it was acquiring the struggling apparel company Rock & Republic. The deal was completed in early 2010, and Rock & Republic became a subsidiary of Kohl’s.

However, the marriage between the two companies was short-lived. In 2011, Kohl’s announced that it was discontinuing the Rock & Republic brand and that all Rock & Republic merchandise would be clearance items.
