Is Michaels or Hobby Lobby cheaper?

There’s no denying that arts and crafts stores are fun to browse through. They’re full of colorful items and inspiring project ideas. But when it comes time to actually purchase supplies, is it better to go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby?

To compare prices, we looked at the cost of several common items at both Michaels and Hobby Lobby. Overall, we found that Michaels was slightly cheaper than Hobby Lobby.

For example, a 2-pack of Sharpie Fine Point Permanent Markers was $5.49 at Michaels and $5.99 at Hobby Lobby. A 12-pack of Crayola Crayons was $3.99 at Michaels and $4.29 at Hobby Lobby. And a Darice Wood Craft Dowel 6-pack was $2.99 at Michaels and $3.69 at Hobby Lobby.

There were a few exceptions where Hobby Lobby was cheaper, but overall Michaels had lower prices.

So if you’re looking for the best deal on arts and crafts supplies, stick with Michaels.
