There’s no denying that Michaels and Hobby Lobby are two of the most popular craft stores in the United States. But are they the same?
For starters, Michaels is much larger than Hobby Lobby. With over 1,200 stores across 49 states, Michaels definitely has a wider reach than Hobby Lobby.
And when it comes to online shopping, Michaels offers a much more comprehensive website than Hobby Lobby. You can find just about anything you need for your next project on Michaels.com, whereas HobbyLobby.com is a bit more limited in terms of selection.
Michaels also has a loyalty program called “Rewards” which gives shoppers 5% back on every purchase, as well as exclusive coupons and deals. Hobby Lobby does not have a loyalty program, so shoppers miss out on those extra savings.
In terms of price, Michaels and Hobby Lobby are pretty similar. They both offer sales and coupons on a regular basis, so it’s easy to find good deals at either store. However, Michaels does tend to be a bit cheaper overall.
So what’s the verdict? Are Michaels and Hobby Lobby the same?
While they are both great craft stores, they definitely have their differences. From price to selection to loyalty programs, there are plenty of reasons to choose one over the other.
