Are Rite Aid blood pressure monitors accurate?

Rite Aid blood pressure monitors have a reputation for being accurate, but there is no scientific evidence to support this claim. A study published in the “Journal of the American Medical Association” in 2006 found that most monitors were inaccurate by about 10% when measuring peak blood pressure.

Another study published in the “Journal of the American Medical Association” in 2008 found that the majority of monitors were inaccurate by about 7% when measuring blood pressure. These studies suggest that Rite Aid blood pressure monitors are not as accurate as they claim to be.
