Did AutoZone buy Carquest?

AutoZone, Inc. (NYSE: AZO) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Carquest Auto Parts from Advance Auto Parts, Inc. (NYSE: AAP). Carquest is a leading provider of aftermarket automotive parts and services with more than 4,000 stores in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

“We are also pleased to have completed this transaction ahead of schedule and under budget,” said Jamere Jackson, Senior Vice President – Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of AutoZone.

AutoZone expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings per share in fiscal 2019.
