It seems as though Chewy and Petsmart have split up, as the two companies have issued different statements regarding the future of their relationship.
Chewy first announced that it would be suspending all Petsmart orders starting on July 24th. Petsmart issued its own statement saying that it was “disappointed” with the decision, but that it was ultimately a business decision made by Chewy.
Since then, it seems as though the two companies have been working on a severing of ties. On July 28th, Petsmart issued a statement saying that it would “no longer be selling Chewy’s products on its website or in its stores.
” The statement went on to say that Chewy’s products would still be available at Petsmart’s online store and in select stores.
It is unclear what the future for the relationship between Chewy and Petsmart will be, but it seems as though the two companies are no longer working together. It is possible that the two companies could eventually re-join forces, but for now it seems as though the relationship has come to an end.
