It’s been a tough few weeks for the popular craft store, Hobby Lobby. First, they were forced to shut down all of their stores nationwide due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Then, they came under fire for attempting to sell face masks that said “I Can Do All Things Through Christ” on them. Now, it seems that the store has finally taken a step in the right direction by discontinuing their 40% off coupon.
The 40% off coupon was a mainstay of Hobby Lobby’s advertising, and many customers used it as a way to save money on their purchases. However, the coupon came with some strings attached.
In order to use it, customers had to present it at the time of purchase, and it could only be used on one item. Additionally, the coupon could not be used on sale items or clearance items.
It’s unclear why Hobby Lobby decided to discontinue the coupon, but many speculate that it was due to the negative publicity they’ve been receiving lately. Whatever the reason, it’s a move that will likely save the company money in the long run.
So, did Hobby Lobby stop the 40% off coupon? It appears so. But whether or not this was a good move remains to be seen.
