Did Ray Kroc steal McDonald’s?

Ray Kroc was a businessman who founded McDonald’s in 1955. He is often credited with starting the fast food industry and making it a major commercial success. However, some people believe that he may have stolen McDonald’s from its original owner, Maurice McDonald. Kroc is said to have visited McDonald’s restaurant in Illinois in 1948 and been impressed by the business.

He is said to have approached Maurice McDonald about buying the restaurant, but Maurice was reluctant to sell. Kroc is said to have offered to pay Maurice more than what he was worth, and eventually convinced him to sell. Kroc is said to have used the money he raised from the sale to launch his own chain of restaurants. Although there is no clear evidence that Kroc stole McDonald’s, some people believe that he may have done so.
