Do Instacart shoppers pay for missing items?

Instacart shoppers have raised concern about whether they are financially responsible for the items they miss while shopping through the Instacart app. Instacart shoppers are contractually obligated to complete a purchase for every order they submit, regardless of whether or not the item is actually delivered.

Some Instacart shoppers have argued that they should be financially responsible for the items they miss, as they were not able to complete a purchase for those items. Instacart has not publicly addressed this issue, but it may be considering implementing a policy in which shoppers are financially responsible for the items they miss.
