There’s no doubt that Advance Auto Parts and AutoZone are two of the biggest names in the auto parts industry. But does Advance Auto actually own AutoZone?

However, in 2013, Advance Auto Parts acquired a company called General Parts International, which just so happened to be the parent company of AutoZone. So technically, yes, Advance Auto Parts owns AutoZone.
