Aldi is a German grocery chain that operates over 10,000 stores in 18 countries. In the United States, they operate nearly 1,700 stores in 34 states.
Though they are a German company, their U.S. stores do not sell German products. Instead, they offer American products at low prices.
Aldi is known for their private label products which are usually cheaper than the name brand counterparts. Private label products are made by the same manufacturers that make name brand products, but they are made to Aldi’s specifications. Many of Aldi’s products are organic and/or gluten-free.
Aldi also carries a selection of seasonal items. During the fall, they sell pumpkin spice lattes and Halloween candy.
In the winter, they sell Christmas trees and holiday decorations. During the summer, they sell swimsuits and pool toys.
Aldi does not carry canning supplies.
