Best Buy has a recycling program for customers to bring in their old, unwanted electronics and recycle them responsibly, for free. Best Buy stores accept most electronics, with a few exceptions. Some items are considered hazardous waste and cannot be recycled, such as CRTs (cathode ray tubes) from older TVs and monitors. These items must be taken to special facilities for disposal.
To recycle at Best Buy, simply bring your unwanted item to the customer service counter at the front of the store. A customer service associate will help you determine whether the item can be recycled, and if so, will provide you with a recycling voucher. This voucher can be redeemed for a discount on a new product purchase, or for a Best Buy gift card.
