In general, Dollar General stores do not have trash cans. This is likely due to the fact that the company focuses on supplying low-cost items and does not want to invest in high-cost waste removal infrastructure.
This policy may be changing, however, as the company has announced plans to install 1,500 recycling bins in its stores by 2020.
