McDonald’s US Veggie Burgers
After years of speculation, McDonald’s US finally released a vegan burger on March 28, 2019. The vegan burger is made with black beans, corn, red onion, avocado, and a vegan cheese sauce.
The burger is served on a toasted bun and costs $5.99.
The vegan burger is the first vegan option at McDonald’s, but it’s not the first vegan burger options available in the US. In January 2019, Beyond Burger released its vegan burger at participating locations nationwide. The Beyond Burger is made with soy and wheat protein, potatoes, peas, wheat, coconut oil, and sea salt.
The Beyond Burger costs $6.
Despite the launch of the vegan burger at McDonald’s, it’s still not available in all locations. The vegan burger is available at select locations in California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, and Pennsylvania.
