Does New York have Family Dollar?

Originally founded in 1962, Family Dollar Stores is a Dollar General Corporation subsidiary that operates over 1,000 stores across the United States. The company offers a wide variety of products, including groceries, consumables, apparel, and home goods.

In 2016, Forbes named Family Dollar one of the “America’s 25 Most Sustainable Companies.” The company has made a commitment to reducing its environmental impact and is working to reduce its carbon emissions by 30 percent by 2030.

In addition, Family Dollar is a member of the Better Business Bureau and the National Association of Convenience Stores.

Although Family Dollar does not operate in New York, the company has a presence in the state through its subsidiaries. In November 2017, Dollar General announced that it would be closing 260 stores across the country, including two in New York.

This news came on the heels of the company’s decision to reduce its workforce by more than 10,000 employees.

Despite these closures, it is still possible to find a Family Dollar store in the state. In addition, other Dollar General stores can also provide a wide variety of products and services.

Therefore, despite the closures of some Family Dollar stores, the company remains operational and available to New Yorkers.
