Polly Pocket is a toy line of small dolls and accessories. The dolls were originally created in 1983 by British toy designer Grace Brooks.
They were first manufactured by Bluebird Toys in the United Kingdom, and later by Mattel. The toys are characterized by their small size (approximately 2.5 inches or 6.4 centimeters in height), and their ability to “pocket” or fold into a pocket-sized case.
The Polly Pocket toy line was relaunched in 1998, and again in 2018. The relaunched versions of the toys are produced by Mattel.
As of 2019, Tesco does not sell Polly Pockets. However, they are available for purchase from a variety of other retailers, both online and in brick-and-mortar stores.
