Does the IKEA Poang chair bounce?

The Ikea Poang chair is marketed as being bounce-free, but does it actually bounce?

There is no scientific evidence to support the claim that the Ikea Poang chair is bounce-free. In fact, there is evidence to suggest that the chair may actually bounce.

A YouTube video titled “Ikea Poang Chair Bounces” demonstrates that the chair does, in fact, bounce. The video was recorded using a camera that tracks the movement of the chair.

As the chair is bounced, it bounces back and forth across the floor.

Given the evidence in the video, it’s plausible to believe that the Ikea Poang chair does, in fact, bounce. This could be a problem for people with mobility disabilities, as the bouncing could cause discomfort and pain.
