Wendy’s is a fast food restaurant chain founded by Dave Thomas on November 15, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio. The company moved its headquarters to Dublin, Ohio, on January 29, 2006. As of December 31, 2018, Wendy’s was the world’s third-largest hamburger fast-food chain with 6,711 locations, following Burger King and McDonald’s.
On April 24, 2008, the company announced a merger with Triarc Companies Inc., a publicly traded company and the owner of Arby’s. Despite the new ownership, Wendy’s headquarters remained in Dublin. Previously, Wendy’s had rejected more than two dozen takeover offers from various companies.
Wendy’s menu consists primarily of hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, Frosty milkshakes, and French fries. The hamburger varieties include the Dave’s Single (named after company founder Dave Thomas), the Baconator (introduced in 2007), the Son of Baconator (introduced in 2013), the Junior Bacon Cheeseburger Deluxe (introduced in 2016), and the Giant Junior Bacon Cheeseburger Deluxe (introduced in 2019). Wendy’s also offered a fried chicken sandwich called the spicy chicken sandwich (discontinued in 2017) and a grilled chicken sandwich.
In September 2019, Wendy’s debuted a new value menu called “Right Price Right Size”, which offers nine items for $5. The menu includes small versions of some of Wendy’s classic items such as the Dave’s Single cheeseburger and small fries.
Wendy’s is well known for its square hamburgers, sea salt fries and Frosty desserts.
Does Wendy’s have a 50 piece nugget?
The answer is no – at least not currently. However, back in 2017 – for one day only – Wendy’s offered a 50-piece Chicken Nugget bucket for just $10.
So while you can’t order a 50-piece Chicken Nugget bucket right now at your local Wendy’s restaurant, it’s something that might be offered again in the future. So keep your eyes peeled!
