How are seats numbered at Petco Park?

Petco Park, home to the San Diego Padres, is a baseball stadium located in downtown San Diego. The stadium opened in 2004 and has a capacity of 42,445.

The seating at Petco Park is arranged so that the lower numbered seats are closer to the field and the higher numbered seats are further from the field. For example, seat 1 in Section 110 will be closer to the field than seat 20 in Section 110. This general rule applies to all sections in the stadium.

There are a few exceptions to this rule.

In some cases, sections are designated as “party sections” or “family sections” and are located in areas that are not as close to the field as other sections. For example, the Party Deck in left field is considered a party section and is not as close to the field as other sections in left field.

In addition, some premium seating areas, such as suites and club seats, are located behind home plate and are not as close to the field as other seats in the stadium.
