If you have a Verizon device and you no longer need it, you can remove it from your Verizon network by following these steps:
1. If you have a Verizon device with a removable battery, remove the battery.
2. Connect the device to your computer using the supplied USB cable.
3. Open the device’s Windows File Explorer or Mac OS X Finder window.
4. Navigate to the folder where the Verizon device’s operating system files are stored.
5. Right-click on the operating system files and select “Delete”.
6. Click on the “Yes” button when the warning dialog box pops up.
7. Restart the device and disconnect it from your computer.
8. Disconnect the device’s power cord and wait 10 minutes for the device to turn off.
9. Remove the device from your home network.
10. Remove the device’s SIM card.
11. Remove the device’s battery.
12. Pack the device in a box and shipping container and send it to Verizon.
13. Verizon will send you a prepaid shipping label and you can send the device to:
