Aldi, the German-based discount supermarket chain, has recently introduced a new curbside pickup service at select locations across the United States. The service, which is similar to that offered by other grocery chains, allows customers to order their groceries online and then pick them up at a designated time without having to leave their vehicles.
Aldi’s curbside pickup service is currently available at select stores in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. The company plans to roll out the service to additional stores in the coming months.
To use Aldi’s curbside pickup service, customers first need to create an account on the company’s website. Once they have done so, they can begin shopping for groceries online.
When they are finished shopping, they can select a pick-up time and location. Aldi stores that offer curbside pickup are typically open from 9am to 8pm.
When it is time to pick up their groceries, customers need to pull into a designated parking spot and call the number listed on the sign. A store employee will then bring the groceries out to the customer’s car. Customers do not need to leave their vehicles during the pickup process.
