Making a snow globe out of a dollar store is a relatively easy project that can be completed in a few hours. The materials you will need are: a Dollar Tree clear plastic globe, small pieces of Styrofoam, craft paint in various colors, a paintbrush, and a glob of hot glue.
1. Paint the outside of the clear plastic globe with a light coat of paint.

4. Glue a glob of hot glue to the top of the globe, and then place the clear plastic cover over the hot glue.
5. Turn the globe over so the clear plastic cover is facing down, and then place it on a flat surface.
6. Push down on the cover until it is firmly attached to the globe.
7. Let the globe dry completely.
