How long does it take to become a driver at UPS?

Becoming a UPS driver is a long and arduous process. Candidates must first pass a criminal background check and a driving test. They must also have a valid driver’s license and pass a drug test. After that, they must go through UPS’s driver training program.

This program usually lasts around 14 weeks and includes classroom learning, on-the-road training, and a final exam. Once all of the requirements are met, new UPS drivers are ready to begin their careers. It typically takes around two years to become a full-fledged driver with UPS.
