When you arrive for your fingerprinting appointment at UPS, you will be asked to remove any jewelry, hats, scarves, or other accessories that could interfere with the scanning process. You will also be asked to remove any facial hair. You will then be given a pair of gloves and instructed to place them over your hands. You will then have your fingerprints taken.
The process usually takes around 10 minutes. After your fingerprints have been taken, you will be given a temporary identification number and instructed to return the following day for your official identification card.
