How many Asda stores are there?

Asda is a British supermarket chain which retails food, clothing, general merchandise, toys and financial services. It has its headquarters in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The company was founded in 1949 when the supermarket owning Asquith family merged with the Associated Dairies company of Yorkshire.

As of 2018, there are 632 Asda stores across the UK. However, this number is constantly changing as stores are opened and closed throughout the year.

Asda has been owned by US retail giant Walmart since 1999, and is therefore the second largest grocery retailer in the UK after Tesco. In recent years, Asda has been struggling to compete with the likes of Aldi and Lidl, who have been taking an increasing share of the UK grocery market.

Conclusion:

There are currently 632 Asda stores across the UK. However, this number is subject to change as stores are opened and closed throughout the year.
