How many stores does Lidl Open 2021?

Lidl plans to open 650 new stores across the United States by the end of 2021. The German grocery chain announced its expansion plans Tuesday, saying it will open its first 100 stores by the end of 2020.

Lidl entered the U.S. market in June 2017, when it opened its first store in Virginia. The company now has about 60 stores across nine states on the East Coast.

Lidl US CEO Johannes Fieber said in a statement that the company is “thrilled” to bring its “unique shopping experience” to even more customers.

“Our rapid expansion is a testament to our commitment to delivering on our promise of quality products at incredibly low prices,” Fieber said. “We can’t wait to serve even more communities across the country.”

The new stores will be built in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut.
