If you’re an employee of DoorDash, you’re likely familiar with the company’s strict no-tipping policy. Unfortunately for some workers, that doesn’t stop them from violating the policy on a regular basis.
According to a report by The Verge, workers at DoorDash have been banned from the app on a regular basis for tipping customers. In some cases, employees have been banned for tipping customers more than five times in a single day.
This isn’t the first time that DoorDash has had to deal with allegations of violating its no-tipping policy. In March of 2018, the company was forced to suspend operations in Chicago after reports that employees were tipping customers more than the required 20 percent.
While DoorDash has made efforts to crackdown on tipping violations, it’s clear that the policy is not being followed by all workers. This raises the question of just how many DoorDash employees have been banned from the app for tipping customers excessively.
