Wendy’s is an international fast food restaurant chain founded by Dave Thomas on November 15, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The company decided to move its headquarters to Dublin, Ohio, on January 29, 2006. As of December 31, 2018, Wendy’s was the world’s third largest hamburger fast-food chain with 6,711 locations, following Burger King and McDonald’s.

On April 24, 2008, the company announced a merger with Triarc Companies Inc., a publicly traded company and the owner of Arby’s. Despite the new ownership, Wendy’s headquarters remained in Dublin. Previously, Wendy’s had been the Target of several activist investors.

Wendy’s menu consists primarily of hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, Frosty (a soft serve dairy dessert), French fries and beverages such as the Frosty Shake. Since phasing out their Super Value Menu in 2007, the company does not have a value menu; however, combo meals are offered at select locations.

Wendy’s also offers salads, chili, baked potatoes (at select locations), and square hamburgers called “Dave’s Single”, “Baconator”, “Son of Baconator”.

As of March 2019, Wendy’s was the second-largest fast-food hamburger company in the world with 6,537 locations,[2] behind Burger King with over 15000 places. [3] On average, each Wendy’s restaurant location employs approximately 20 full and part-time workers.

Wendy’s crew members get paid an average wage of $8.25 an hour. The average wage for a manager at Wendy’s is $10 an hour.
