In Aldi’s German domestic market, the company operates as Aldi Nord (“North Aldi”) and in the United Kingdom and Ireland as Aldi Stores Ltd.

Aldi US is headquartered in Batavia, Illinois. As of May 2018[update], there were 1,600 stores across 36 states. In 2017 Aldi US planned to add 400 stores by the end of 2022.
