AMC is a cable and satellite television network that is a part of the AMC Networks division of AMC Entertainment. The network is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and maintains major production facilities in New York City, Los Angeles, and Dallas.
As of February 2015, AMC had an estimated 92 million subscribers in the United States and over 190 million worldwide.
AMC is included as a basic cable channel with Amazon Prime, and as such, subscribers can watch all of the network’s original programming without any added fees. Additionally, AMC has acquired the rights to several popular series, such as The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and Mad Men, and has released all of these series on the streaming service Hulu.
