Is American Airlines Terminal 1 or 2 at RDU?

American Airlines Terminal 1 is the older of the two terminals at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. It has two concourses, North and South, and is home to American Airlines’ mainline service. Terminal 1 was renovated in 2006 and 2007, and features a new security checkpoint, a new departures lobby, and a new arrivals lobby. Terminal 2 opened in 2011 and is larger than Terminal 1.

It has three concourses, East, West, and North, and is home to American Airlines’ regional service. Terminal 2 features new security checkpoints, a new arrivals lobby, and a new departures lounge. Both terminals are serviced by American Airlines’ fleet of aircraft, including American Airlines’ mainline jets, American Airlines’ Airbus A321s, and American Airlines’ Embraer 190s. American Airlines also operates American Airlines’ A321s and Embraer 190s on behalf of other airlines.
