Asda and Aldi are two of the biggest supermarket chains in the UK. Both offer a wide range of products at competitive prices. So, which is cheaper?
To compare the prices of Asda and Aldi, we took a basket of eight common grocery items and priced them at both Supermarkets. The items were:
- 1 litre of milk
- 12 eggs
- 500g of bread flour
- 2 chicken breasts
- 200g of cheddar cheese
- 4 apples
- 1 bunch of bananas
- 1 tube of toothpaste
The Results:
Asda was cheaper than Aldi for six out of the eight items. The two items that were cheaper at Aldi were the chicken breasts and the toothpaste. Overall, Asda was £2.52 cheaper than Aldi.
