Is chewy a bad place to work?

Chewy is a company that primarily sells pet food. The company has been in business for over 20 years, and employs over 1,000 workers.

There have been a number of lawsuits filed against the company, alleging that the company is not paying its workers a livable wage. The company has denied these allegations, and has said that its wages are commensurate with those of other companies in the same industry.

However, a study conducted by the National Employment Law Project (NELP) found that the median wage for Chewy workers is $10.50 an hour, which is significantly below the national median wage of $15.

73 an hour.

NELP argued that the low wages are a result of the company’s practice of using part-time workers and temporary employees. These workers are not eligible for most benefits, and are not protected by labor laws.

The study found that Chewy workers are overrepresented in the low-wage workforce. This is likely because Chewy relies on a workforce of part-time and temporary workers, who are more likely to be unemployed or low-income.

While Chewy has denied the allegations of low wages and poor working conditions, the study provides compelling evidence that these conditions exist.

Given these findings, it is difficult to recommend working at Chewy. Unless the wages are raised to a level that reflects the median wage in the country, employees will continue to be at a disadvantage.
