Is Grubhub owned by Amazon?

Grubhub is a popular food delivery and ordering service that is owned by Amazon. The company was founded in 2004 and has since expanded to over 20 cities in the United States. In 2017, Grubhub was acquired by rival food delivery company, Seamless. At the time of the acquisition, Grubhub was valued at over $2 billion.

Following the acquisition, Seamless CEO, Andrew Mason, stated that the goal of the company was to become “the Amazon of food delivery.” In 2018, Grubhub announced that it would be expanding its delivery service to include food from independent restaurants.
