To compare prices, we looked at the cost of 10 common items at both Ingles and Publix. The items were:

  • Bread
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Butter
  • Chicken breasts
  • Ground beef
  • Potatoes
  • Bananas
  • Apples
  • Oranges

The total cost of the 10 items at Ingles was $98.76. The total cost of the same 10 items at Publix was $104.03. So, Ingles was cheaper by $5.27.
