Lidl is a German supermarket chain that has been rapidly expanding in the United Kingdom over the past few years. It is known for its low prices, and has been increasingly popular with budget-conscious shoppers.
But what about the quality of its meat? Is it good enough to rival the likes of more expensive supermarkets?
In order to find out, we decided to put Lidl’s meat to the test. We bought a selection of chicken, beef and pork from our local Lidl store and took it home to cook.
The first thing we noticed was the price – all of the meat was significantly cheaper than at other Supermarkets. For example, we paid just £2.50 for a whole chicken, which is around half the price of what you would pay at Tesco or Sainsbury’s.
We were impressed with the quality of the meat. The chicken was particularly good – it was plump and juicy, and cooked evenly throughout.
The beef was also of a good quality, although we did find that it was a bit tougher than what we’re used to from other Supermarkets. The pork was also good quality, although it was a bit fatty for our taste. Overall, we were impressed with the quality of Lidl’s meat and would definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget.
So there you have it – Lidl’s meat is definitely good enough to rival more expensive Supermarkets. If you’re looking for quality meat at a low price, then Lidl is definitely worth checking out.
