Is Lidl or Aldi better?

Lidl and Aldi are two German-based budget Supermarkets that have been steadily gaining market share in the UK over the past few years. Both retailers offer a no-frills shopping experience and low prices on a range of food and household items. So, which is the better supermarket?

There are a few key areas where Lidl and Aldi differ. Firstly, Lidl tends to have a wider range of products than Aldi, including more branded items.

Secondly, Lidl stores are generally larger than Aldi stores, which can be a plus if you’re doing a big shop. Thirdly, Lidl offers more in-store services than Aldi, such as a pharmacy and photo printing.

On the other hand, Aldi’s prices are generally lower than Lidl’s, so if you’re looking to save money, Aldi is the better choice. Additionally, Aldi offers a loyalty card scheme (Aldi Card) which gives you money off your shopping, while Lidl does not currently have a loyalty card.

So, which supermarket is better? It depends on what you’re looking for.

If you want a wider range of products and in-store services, go for Lidl. If you’re simply looking for the cheapest prices, then Aldi is the better choice.
