There has been much speculation about whether or not Shaw’s is owned by Kroger. Shaw’s did not respond to requests for comment. However, Shaw’s website does state that Kroger is its “exclusive partner” and that Kroger provides “essential support.” Kroger has also been reported as being a shareholder in Shaw’s.
Based on these statements, it seems that Kroger does own a stake in Shaw’s. However, Kroger has not commented on the speculation and it is not clear whether or not the two companies are officially partnered.
