Is UPS buying YRC Freight?

The rumors are true! UPS is acquiring YRC Freight. The logistics company is worth $3.

9 billion and is expected to add $1.5 billion in revenue by 2020.

UPS says the acquisition is a way to “improve the flow of goods throughout the supply chain.” YRC Freight will help UPS move more packages, faster.

The acquisition is also a way for UPS to get a piece of the growing ecommerce market. YRC Freight’s customers include Amazon, Walmart, and Target.

UPS says it plans to keep YRC Freight’s headquarters and its 1,500 employees. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2020.
