I recently moved to a new city and was having a hard time finding a job. I decided to send out a few resume’ and cover letter through the mail. I was really excited to see the tracking number for my package and when it finally arrived I was disappointed to see that the post office had held it for over a week! I emailed the sender and asked why the package had been held and they replied that it was due to a ‘delivery error’. I was really disappointed that the post office had just held my mail instead of delivering it.
I emailed the sender again asking if they could please resend the package and they said they would. I’m not sure if the post office is actually allowed to do this, but it definitely made the process of sending out my job applications a little more difficult. I’m not sure if I would recommend mailing anything through the post office, especially if you’re looking for a quick turnaround.
