It is either a liquor (or Eau de Vie) made from fermented apricot juice or a liqueur distilled from the flesh and kernel of apricots….Does Asda Sell Kirsch Liqueur?

Kirsch is a clear, colorless brandy made from fermented pitted cherries. It is either a liquor (or Eau de Vie) made from fermented apricot juice or a liqueur distilled from the flesh and kernel of apricots.

Kirsch has been produced in the Black Forest region of Germany since the 16th century. The word “kirsch” is derived from the German word for cherry, Kirsche.

Kirsch is traditionally used as a digestif and is also added to fondue and other Swiss dishes. It is sometimes used in cocktails, such as the Ladyfinger and the White Lady. Kirsch can also be used in baking, particularly in cakes and cheesecakes.

Asda does not sell kirsch, however they do sell cherry liqueur which could be used as a substitute.
