What happened to Tim Hortons in Minnesota?

In 2014, Tim Hortons became the first Canadian fast food chain to open in the Somali-American community in Minneapolis. In early 2018, however, it was announced that the chain was closing all of its Minnesota locations.

It is not clear what caused the chain’s closure, but it likely had to do with low profits and high costs of doing business in the state.

Despite the closure of Tim Hortons in Minnesota, the Somali-American community in the state continues to thrive. There are now several Somali-owned fast food chains in the state, including Mogadishu Fast Food and Twin Cities Somali Fast Food.

These chains are well-established and provide a wide range of food options for the community.
