What is DoorDash and how does it work?

DoorDash is an online food delivery service that delivers food from restaurants to customers’ homes. The company was founded in 2013 by Anthony Levandowski and Daniel Burrows. DoorDash uses a fleet of vehicles and drivers to deliver food to customers’ homes. Customers order food through the DoorDash app and the drivers deliver the food to the customer’s door.

DoorDash charges restaurants a commission for each order placed through the DoorDash app. In 2017, DoorDash was acquired by Uber for $520 million.
